The Jonah Kit

If you are walking through San Francisco's Mission district, cock your head and listen for the hard-bitten alt-folk sound of The Jonah Kit coming down from a 17th Street rooftop. Better yet, join a growing band of devotees disenchanted with the formulaic and go see them play live.You'll hear a sound that draws inspiration from the indignant, inflexibly at-odds-with-the world misfits of decades past--Hank Williams, Fred Neil, The Velvet Underground, and Townes Van Zandt. You'll see a trio consisting of Jonah Daniel on vocals and guitar, Dave Herman on upright bass and Luke Zaientz on drums.
